Filthy Rich
Filthy Rich
By George Walker
RLT's production was performed in the Cantey V. Sutton Theatre, April 7 - 23, 2006
This film noir satire has it all - corruption, sex, and murder. The main character is Tyrone Power, a heavy -drinking, slob of a failed-writer-cum-reluctant-private-eye who is hired by two sisters, who ask him to help them find a missing mayoral candidate. The last person to see the candidate is a journalist, an old friend of Power's. Throw in a crusty police detective, a gangster boyfriend, a plucky sidekick, a political conspiracy, and you've got a detective story that would make Raymond Chandler proud.
