Creative Players (Apex)

For ages 6 – 8

Let’s put on a play! Using scripted material based on the fun story of The Three Billy Goats Gruff, young actors will learn the skills needed to bring a story to life on stage. Please bring a healthy snack and a water bottle. There will be a Presentation for family and friends on Friday at 11:45am. No previous experience necessary. Limited to 12 participants.

June 12-16, 9:30am-12:30pm

Stories for the Stage (full-day camp) (Wake Forest)

For ages 6–8

In this fun filled camp you will make up stories and act out stories all in one week! In the morning, students will use playful games, exercises and movement to create original theatre stories. In the afternoon, using scripted material, they will learn acting skills needed to bring a story to life. No previous experience necessary. Limit: 14 students.

June 12-16, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Multi-Arts Camp (Apex)

For ages 8–12

Act out a story, sing a song, dance to the music and create a masterpiece all in one week! Students will be placed into small groups according to age and attend daily workshops in acting, singing, dance and art. Please bring lunch and a water bottle. There will be a Presentation for family and friends on Friday at 12:45pm. No previous experience necessary. Limited to 32 participants.

Session 1: June 26-30, 9:30am - 2:00pm
Session 2: August 7-11, 9:30am - 2:00pm

Young Playwrights! (half-day camp)

For ages 6-8

Students will experience the magic of creating an original show by using improvisational theater games to create and perform in their own mini-play based on a theme chosen by the class. The camp will end with a final performance of our work. No previous experience necessary. Limit 16 students.

Theatre Arts Camp (full-day camp)

For ages 6–12

Have fun! Make friends! Exercise your imagination as you play and learn! Act out a story, sing a song, dance to the music, become a mime and create a masterpiece all in one week! Each day begins with a large group activity of theatre games. Then smaller groups will attend daily workshops in acting, singing, art and dance. Students will be placed into smaller groups according to age. Just bring your lunch, two snacks, your imagination and a willingness to give it a try! No previous experience necessary. Limit 64 students.

June 19-23, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Imagination Station (full-day camp)

For ages 7-9

There are different ways to tell a story but it all begins at the same place—the Imagination Station. All Aboard!!! The first stop in the mornings is Once Upon A Dance. Students will explore dance and movement as a source for story ideas and expression. Then it’s on to Once Upon A Book in the afternoon, where students will create their own storybook complete with illustrations. No previous experience necessary. Limit 16 students.

July 31 – August 4, 9:30 am – 4:00 pm

Creative Players (half-day camp)

For ages 7–9

There’s more to being in a play than just wearing a costume on a stage under hot lights. Actors need to rehearse. They learn lines. They practice using their bodies and voices to become characters. Using scripted material, young actors will learn skills needed to bring a story to life. No previous experience necessary. Limit 16 students.

August 14-18, 1:00–4:00 pm
