Sing It Out! (half-day camp)

For ages 9-12

Do you like to act? Do you love to sing? Then this camp is for you! Students will learn the skills needed to bring a mini-musical to life on the stage. No previous experience necessary. Limit 12 students.

Session I
June 12-16, 9:30 am – 2:30 pm
Rats! The Story of the Pied Piper! The town of Hamelin is overrun with them and all the citizens are in a tizzy, until the mysterious Pied Piper appears, offering to solve their dilemma for a small fee.

Session II
August 21-25, 9:30 am – 2:30 pm
At the Bandstand! When the hit show, At the Bandstand, announces an on-air dance-off to join the popular Bandstand Kids, Cindy and her gaggle of friends jump at the chance!

Stage Door (full-day camp) (Wake Forest)

For ages 9-12

The actor enters the theatre through the stage door but there are quite a few more steps to the stage. In this supportive camp, you can have fun, build confidence and make friends as you learn basic acting and rehearsal skills. In the morning, using scripted scenes, students will explore character development, blocking and vocal projection. In the afternoon, they will participate in improvisation exercises designed to promote group problem solving and encourage spontaneity, both valuable tools in rehearsal and great life skills as well. No previous experience necessary. Limit: 14 students.

June 12-16, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Let's Put On A Play! (full-day camp) (Wake Forest) NEW!

For ages 9-12

Using fun theatre games and improvisation, students will put their heads together to create an original script. Upon completion they will then learn what it takes to perform it for an audience! No previous experience necessary. Limit 14 students.

July 24-28, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Instructors: Johannah Maynard Edwards

Cost: $270

For ages 9-12

Multi-Arts Camp (Apex)

For ages 8–12

Act out a story, sing a song, dance to the music and create a masterpiece all in one week! Students will be placed into small groups according to age and attend daily workshops in acting, singing, dance and art. Please bring lunch and a water bottle. There will be a Presentation for family and friends on Friday at 12:45pm. No previous experience necessary. Limited to 32 participants.

Session 1: June 26-30, 9:30am - 2:00pm
Session 2: August 7-11, 9:30am - 2:00pm

Theatre Arts Camp (full-day camp)

For ages 6–12

Have fun! Make friends! Exercise your imagination as you play and learn! Act out a story, sing a song, dance to the music, become a mime and create a masterpiece all in one week! Each day begins with a large group activity of theatre games. Then smaller groups will attend daily workshops in acting, singing, art and dance. Students will be placed into smaller groups according to age. Just bring your lunch, two snacks, your imagination and a willingness to give it a try! No previous experience necessary. Limit 64 students.

June 19-23, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Kids on Stage (full-day two-week camp)

For ages 10-14

Dear Edwina Jr. Written in a “show-within-a-show” format, Dear Edwina Jr. is the perfect “girl power” musical for a new generation. Dear Edwina Jr. follows the adventures of plucky advice-giver-extraordinaire, Edwina Spoonapple, as she directs the neighborhood kids in a series of buoyant production numbers for the latest edition of her weekly "Advice-a-Palooza.” Edwina and her friends share wisdom on everything from trying new foods to making new friends through clever, catchy and poignant songs. A bare-bones performance will take place for invited friends and family on the last day of camp at 4 pm. No previous experience necessary. Limit 25 students.

Note: This is a two-week camp.

July 31 – August 11, 9:30 am - 4:00 pm

Devised Theatre! (half-day camp) NEW!

For ages 10-14

In this exciting new camp, participants will create original, theatrical works inspired by their own experiences, using found objects, art and music. Utilizing improvisation to explore characters and scenarios, each member of the class will contribute to the creation of a new work. No previous experience necessary. Limit 14 students.

August 14-18, 12:30-4:30 pm
